A Crackberry forum member leaked a photo showing the Blackberry Z30 (Aristo), the 5-inch and more powerful version of the Blackberry Z10, side by side with the Sony XPERIA Z1.
Speaking about the smartphone, PhoneArena reports, “The BlackBerry Aristo Z30 will be the first (and last?) 5 incher coming from the Canadian OEM. Resolution on the screen comes in at 720 x 1280. That works out to a 294ppi pixel density. A dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Plus is paired with the Adreno 320 GPU. 2GB of RAM is aboard and 16GB of native storage can be expanded thanks to the 64GB capacity microSD slot available. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 8MP and 2MP respectively., The rear-facing snapper captures video in 1080 x 1920 at 30fps. A 2800mAh battery powers the device.
“Originally thought to be launching in November, a leaked document showing the phone coming to Canadian carrier Bell came with speculation about a late September, early October launch. In the states, Sprint has already confirmed that it will offer the handset. BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins has previously made reference to this model by saying that he was excited about the high end ‘Berry coming during the holiday season. The real question is whether he will be just as excited after the model is released.”
